Hi all,
NASA has released (9 Dec 2014) nice global
colored maps of
SIX major Saturn moons, as obtained by the Cassini spacecraft. While much higher resolutions do exist (> 10000 x 5000), these global mosaics have a uniform medium resolution of
2000 x 1000 pixels which seems just fine for a forthcoming
celestia.Sci distribution (modulo Copyright checks)...Essentially no holes or lores areas in these medium-sized textures.
All textures require a horizontal offset of -<width>/2 px for celestia.Sci/Celestia.
I thought you might be interested in some nice views with celestia.Sci:
All screenshot images are 'king-size' (1920x1200), hence you should:
