John,

it's of course everyone's good right to "resonate" about Christmas in a different way:
  • not at all
  • view it as an abstraction <=> the "feast" of love, go enjoy it with family and/or friends
  • go shopping like mad :X
  • listen to songs by Pink, Helene Fischer, Mariah Carey... rather than to traditional Christian music (=> Stille Nacht ... etc)
  • ...

Cheers,
Fridger

Merry Christmas everyone!!

We just have to take the meaning back to what it really should be. It is in our hands how we appraoch it. ^^

Yeah, I really like going for Christmas shopping. Put in the maximum ear plugs, put on the american football gear and then let's rumble

Ahhhh, Fridger! :wall: :wall: Helene Fischer?!?!? :wall: :wall: :wall:  Now you have to write 2 Million times "I am NOT evil, just twisted" Or finish Celestia.Sci before January 1st 2018 as amends :DD

Best regards,

Guckytos

Christian, please read my respective post carefully :D : The names I mentioned (including HF) do certainly NOT represent my personal taste!! They just served as popular examples that many people (NOT me!) prefer in replacement of the traditional Christmas music. On the other hand, these clever singers have made millions with singing classical Christmas songs, too...

In my family, we enjoy playing plenty of classical chamber music during the dark days around the end of the year: violin (my wife), piano (our daughter) and cello (me).

Cheers,
Fridger

I was pretty sure you were just being your ironic self, but this name (never to be mentioned :° ) just triggers a very certain side of myself. The other mentioned examples I can stand, most of the time.

Good for you and your family that you are able to such nice things together. I haven't heard much of that kind of music, I think, at least not on my side of our family.

I wish all a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christian
