Hey, Alan...

Thanks for the personal information. I much prefer "Alan" to "Lord Ferret."
My wife has had two ferrets so far in our life together. One was white like the one pictured in your avatar, and the other was a raccoon-like little ball of fury.

Him, I liked a lot. :)

Just curious...

Why is it that this marvelous forum is hardly ever used unless Shatters is down?

I guess because unfortunately we don't have enough time to devote to the place... :?
Anyway the place will stay open because some "potentialities" are still present!

Well, as far as I can tell, the place doesn't need any work. It just needs some participation.

The resources which are available from you guys are simply incredible, and of course the
Good Doctor, yourself and Mona  are far and away some of the most knowledgeable
people on the planet. :)

Please don't go losing any interest in this forum. I, for one check here every day to see if
I can learn something new about Celestia's amazing potentialities.

And you already know that I believe your modeling skills (and knowledge) are among the
best in the world.

Just my quick plug for one of my favorite resources. Please don't let this resources fall
by the wayside.

Thanks, Brain-Dead

Bob,

...you forgot Runar!

Mona is a way more "complex" personality ;-)

I thought that Runar *was* Mona...
I believe that I understand you now though.

Thanks very much, Brain-Dead

I understand your position here John, but this is also precisely what I meant.
Obviously, I don't know beans about scientific calculation and system specs,
but here I can learn a little bit at a time.

That's why I asked the original question...
I would have thought that there would have been tons of curious users here
trying to learn things.

Ah well, thanks for the supposition.

well bob you DO ask so that is why you are here .

how many of the people over at shatters want everything spoon feed to them ??

in your own words "you know nothing " ( not shultz from hogans heroes)
but
" a wise person is one who KNOWS they know nothing"

have a cup of coffee and think about it for a min or two .

Just to add fuel to the fire here, where *is* Runar lately?
Haven't seen him on-line or around for a long time now. Hope he's not lost interest in this stuff.

Thanks, Brain-Dead
