Fridger,

Never mind...

I found my problem: I had neglected to increase the entry for the number of WMP filetypes from 9 to 10.

It works fine now.

Of course, it is annoying that WMP doesn't add that entry itself.

Excellent... I also spent quite a bit of time with this issue on the weekend ;-) . It is still VERY desirable to find a really straightforward approach to displaying divx5 videos that also would work easily for Newbies and their relatives...

Bye Fridger

Good that it worked for you! I thought Runar wrote to me that the videos did NOT work in Safari?? Runar?

If i remember correctly, Cham is running an older version of OSX than i (i use 10.4.10). Also, i use Safari 3 beta, while Safari 2 is the standard that comes wih the OS. I guess the "beta" designation means something here...

I'm also under Safari 3 (and 10.4.10)... no problem so far...

Hey Dr. Schrempp, Christophe, Runar...

Finally got registered on this thing. Thanks very much for repairing for
me.

Just thought I'd mention that your site has Tethys spelled incorrectly, and
that Runar's page should say that downloads ARE here and not IS here.

Bet you're sorry that you let me on now ain't you? <laughing>

Seriously though, I appreciate the additional resources offered here, and
I have downloaded everything you have to offer so far. I'll let you know
when I gather enough intelligence to actually use the NMTOOLS Dr.
Schrempp, but you can rest assured that ALL of the textures and add-ons
you guys have created will be used almost immediately on my new PC.

Great stuff here, and please keep those scientific and ACCURATE
textures coming for bozos like me willya?

Thanks VERY much for the efforts.

Runar?

The following can be found on the SUN explanation/download page...

"Update for Celestia 1.5 (per July 4. 2007) available - see download links below. Instructions is included in zip."

Should say that instructions ARE included in zip.

I KNOW I'm a pain in the wazoo, but the casual visitor might think that you
really brainy and educated types are UN-educated. Can't have THAT now
can we?

I also know that English ain't your native language so this is entirely
forgivable. Just appoint me to the oversight committee and I'll take care
of these things. Hee, hee. You know, I'm having a BLAST raising hell
with you guys again.

By the way, can you teach me how to swear in Norwegian? I already do
pretty well in English, German, and Spanish, but I'd really like to be able
to swear in a wide variety of languages. (Laughing again.)

I see. Thanks!

I am glad people point out such things, so keep it coming.

As for the swearing, my girlfriend would be a much better teacher. But this is not the place... :-D

To the left again. Hee, hee.

Boy, I really must have left an impression on you if you remember THAT!
At any rate, I'll see what else I can do here for you guys now that I'm free
from life's pressures.

You will be surprised. I am planning some further very interesting AND useful stuff. Just takes a bit of preparations...

Cheers,
Fridger

Well, I'm certain that whatever you're doing will be worth the wait. Again,
thanks for the marvelous textures.

By the way, I actually LOOK like my icon. Somehow, I don't think that yours
conveys your true-to-life image.

Yep, my baby icon ;-) . Note it is completely unrelated to my person. A mere accidental finding in the net. I liked the baby's expression in the face... (my wife finds the baby icon horrible) .

Cheers,
Fridger

Hah...

Now you know what I REALLY look like. My new avatar was created from a
photo of me holding a baby (If you can believe that) about four years ago.

Of course, this was before all of my trials and tribulations with doctors, but
I'm still basically the same Hell's Angels type of guy you see in the movies.

Hee, hee.

I'll bet I'm gonna HEAR about this one for a while. CM is the ONLY place my
real-life image will appear by the way. If you guys get mad at me, you'll
know who to look for now. <grin>

Bob,

you won't believe it: I know that full image with your daughter's baby! I think you had displayed it on your old Webpage, subtitled with "The old geezer" or similar. Right?

Not bad not bad.

Cheers,
Fridger
