Bob,

you won't believe it: I know that full image with your daughter's baby! I think you had displayed it on your old Webpage, subtitled with "The old geezer" or similar. Right?

Not bad not bad.

Cheers,
Fridger

Yeah, I DID have that on at some time in the past didn't I? Oh well, I thought
you'd have something more interesting to say, like "You mean that guy can
actually read?"

Well Christophe,

I always avoided comics as much as possible. So from his name I would not have known who he was. After seing the image, I vaguely recognize the figure...

Raah, but that's not a comic, that's a classic, just like Balzac or Proust! :D

Indeed. Though upon rereading it now, the overbearing european chauvinism that shines through everywhere, expecially in the older books, leaves a somewhat foul taste. Still, the stories were wonderful. I can´t imagine growing up without Tintin... And my favourites were always the early Haddock stories...

Sorry Christophe...

NEVER heard of the guy... Now, if you had mentioned the Fantastic Four,
Daredevil, Spider-Man, the X-Men, or Captain America for crying out loud,
I WOULD HAVE known what you meant.

Captain Haddock? Oh Brother... I think I'm going to have to find some more
errors on your pages. THAT'LL teach you.

And Silver Surfer? I believe was very loved in the USA, expecially on the West Coast due to the surfing activity... In Italy he was included in the DareDevil album, then this latter died at number 126 near the end of '70 during the crisis of the comics.

Oh yes... See, I had over 10,000 Marvel comic books until recently, because
I collected the things since I was 14 years old. It's just that I had so MANY
Marvel favorites that I could have filled the screen with titles.
