This cool little demo shows the size of a carbon atom relative to other small things, via a Celestia-ish exponential zoom. A virus is tiny.

here is one

if a carbon atom was the size of a bowling ball ( aprox. size)
then
A mole of carbon would have the volume of the earth

mole = 6.022 X 10^23 atoms
