With much of the US getting wracked by a harsh cold snap and repeated snowstorms, I'm wondering, how are our pals elsewhere in the world, weather- and temperature-wise?

Minneapolis is expecting about -16° for a high on Monday.

Fahrenheit. :p

So about -26° in Celcius. We actually don't get that cold all that often.

here in the Detroit area it is 8.9 F right now ,according the NOAA at willowrun airport

so still balmy in a few Deg. it will be time to pull out the HEAVY winter coat -- once it hits zero F

So far, mostly plenty of gray with a drizzle here and there, despite our location at 53 deg North! The Golf stream keeps us warm until January, when it has usually cooled down. Today is a rare day of full sunshine (no clouds) and +7 C = 44.6 F. It is unusually warm, though, for this this time of the year.

Being in Indianapolis, I expect to get hit pretty hard. According to the most recent temperature forecast I saw, we're expecting as low as -27° C here Monday.

Totally forgot to follow up on this. :wall:

Turned out to be "warmer" than expected here, but still downright cold. About -13 or -14 F for a high on Monday, and then a gradual warm up to about +30 F today.

Here it is, a couple of weeks til the equinox and we still got arctic / antarctic temps. Below zero last night. Three cheers for global warming. And my favorite. :wall:
Hope this isn't another year without a summer. Any volcanoes last year? I can't remember any.

I hate summer. :p Not becauss of my username, but because of my debilitating melissophobia. It is bad enough that I actually frequently mistake box elder bugs and june bugs for bees.

No snow last night. Not sure if they got any at home. Been a bit south of home for the last month. Yesterday it was 70 here and today it's around the single digits. Below zero wind chill.
