I think this is a remarkable discovery, but I hope other will conform it:

I always had a strong curiosity about gravitational radiation mystery, and now, perhaps......
Comments? :)

Thanks for putting the news up here! If true, it would be a hell of a discovery.
Let's keep fingers crossed...

You are welcome.
Crossing fingers for definitive confirmation!

According to what I have read, the signal was loud and clear. And since they got the same on both observatories, with a slight delay correlated to the velocity "c", I think you could already take this as granted.

Personally, I'm very confident this is real.

This time, this is it ! :DD

This is a triumph of General Relativity !

I attach a summary report about what the community of CERN theorists thinks as to the Detection of Gravitational Waves. The article is well readable and written by a famous staff member of the CERN Theory Division, who really knows what he's talking about:

Luis Alvarez-Gaume
Detection of Gravitational Waves (10 Feb 2016)

Thank you both for links, I had already found some of them, but missed the others.
BTW, I'm very happy and proud for the cooperation given to the project by Europe (EGO) and Italy (Virgo).
If there will not arise some outstanding controversy, this is the 21st century discovery, and the future of science will be a complete different thing.
Bye

Wow.
What a great success of science this would be!

Just to point to the original historic paper :

This paper is making physics history !

Another page of interest. All the data is now available for free at this site :

Maybe we could do some model for Celestia with this. Who knows !? ;)
