Hi American friends!

Tell us about the total Eclipse! How did you see it?? Did you simulate it with Celestia(.Sci)?

Cheers
Fridger

It was dull. ;)

Here in NY, we were way off the centerline.

I viewed the partial eclipse using a "pinhole camera", which involved no special equipment whatsoever: one of my co-workers poked a pin through a sheet of aluminum foil, and the resulting image was projected onto the white back of a paper plate. (The front had a colored pattern on it.) The image was tiny, but the moon was clearly eating the sun!

Similar to JohnV here, clouded out. They were predicting 82% partial here. I plan to travel for the 2024 one. MN doesnt get totality until 2099, so unless someone invents youthful immortality... ;)
