Cel MiniTut: a visual primer on some SSC definitions
Demonstrates the use of Epoch, RotationOffset, EquatorAscendingNode and Obliquity.

Here´s a small quicktime movie i made in 2004 that demonstrates the basic
concept of how to orient the Earth in a Solar System Catalog (SSC) file.
The download is 1.3 MB and the film lasts for just about one minute.

A basic SSC primer for the dimensionally challenged Add-On Artist

I like the movie Runar...

Now if you could just make one explaining ALL of the changes from 1.4.1
to 1.5 pre3, I'd be extremely grateful. Boy, it's gonna take me a whole YEAR
to understand Celestia again. Sheesh!

Bob... I know how you feel... still, it's certainly fun playing catch-up.

Okay, since I'm going to have to rewrite some SSC guides, can someone direct me to the definitions and -
hopefully - some explanation of the Mie atmospheric settings?

Dr. Schrempp, perhaps?

I realize that I can do a web search, but I would really like to conform to the settings as applied only to
Celestia. Is this possible?

Thanks, Bob

Bob,
Fridger would be the man, but he is offline right now.

However, Selden and Fridger attempts a brief explanation about the MIE parameters here:
http://shatters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11032

... And also, some examples where Fridger puts it into practice, here:
http://shatters.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10116

It is a start...
