Looking around for SLA Panels, I found (Serendipity!) a very nice image of the IU, whose original hi-res is here:
http://ftp.tiscali.it/andrea_celestia/I ... GP3463.jpg

Image

As you see from the link address it's one of the last IU produced (#514), and it confirms the behavious of the rim detail that we discussed in many posts here.
Voilà!
Bye

Unfortunately, not much... your first drawing is part of the articulation of the SLA, not of those other systems. Now those zoom you did don't help much because they don't add any details! I think I will put them on hold, perhaps later something will come to light...
Tx anyway!

As I supposed.
Anyhow, give a look at the original, details are much more visible, IMO.
But as I told before, I'm almost sure that things changed from Apollo 7 to Apollo 11, and that nothing was left in the upper position after the installation of panels jettisoning pyrotechnics. I found something written here and there, but no images, alas!
Bye

Hello

Here some readable news vidéos with Windows media player:
2 films on the opening of the panels and the reversal of the CSM

http://celestiasws.free.fr/CSMrotation.zip (49.3Mo)

http://celestiasws.free.fr/Openpanel2.avi (68.6Mo)

Another film on the ejection of the stage

http://celestiasws.free.fr/Saturn-stage-eject.avi (21.4Mo)

The separation of the LEM around the Moon

http://celestiasws.free.fr/moon.avi (1.4Mo)

Tonight we have made new ssc file with your new models and good radius for the LEM, we are working to tune xyz orbit with lunar cirecular orbit

Hi! I'm a new member of this forum, and my interest in the Apollo Project has brought me in this site. I've installed Celestia only six months ago, and I have very, very much to learn!!
Where I can to download the beautiful models that I've seen in this forum?
Thanks!!

They are not yet available... I'm still busy on some other stuff so for now they are still in standby. I hope to return on this soon!

Thanks! I have downloaded Blender 2.45, freeware, but it's not so intuitive and doesn't recognize 3ds files.... :)

Do you have Anim8or? Works well, but does require some experimentation before you (or rather, I) can use it to good effect.

Just FYI...

Thanks, Bob

Still anxiously awaiting your Apollo renditions, here, Chris. I know you don't need any more encouragement, but I have still not found any other Apollo rendition which could even come close to matching your skills with these models.

Just a nudge from an expectant afficianado of your works.

Thanks, Brain-Dead

Still no luck with time...
