Post subject:  2dF Galaxy Survey versus Millenium Simulation

Hi all,

during the last two days we had an interesting conference at my laboratory entitled
Connecting Particles with the Cosmos. At this meeting, the following quantitative comparison between the actual 2dF galaxy survey (blue data, top left) and the Millenium simulation (red data, bottom, right) were shown:

A surprisingly good agreement between the real observations (2dF) and the Millenium computer simulation is evident. Note characteristic large scale filiaments! Each dot is a galaxy, of course...

The redshift scales are inverted?
