August 10, 2010, Hubblesite newsroom: A long-exposure Hubble Space Telescope image (exposure time 28 hours!) shows the majestic face-on spiral galaxy NGC 4911 located deep within the Coma Cluster of galaxies, which lies 320 million light-years away in the northern constellation Coma Berenices.

Here is the image, displaying also the approaching NGC 4911A galaxy on the right! ... -b-web.jpg

Since NGC4911A is an elliptical galaxy with large B-V~ 0.8, , it's blue color in the Hubble image is somewhat surprising... Indeed, the much smaller SDSS image shows the expected orange color of NGC 4911A

...and here is the impressive Celestia.Sci rendering of NGC 4911 and NGC 4911A. It's color matches the SDSS colors pretty well as usual.
