Here is another grand Sc spiral, ngc 3338, this time not in face-on view (as viewed from Earth). As you can see the bright-blue HII coud rendering seems quite adequate in this case of a spiral. It's B-V magnitude is 0.51, hence the color of NGC 3338 should be mainly blue. Indeed, NGC 3338's appearance in celestia.Sci is in excellent agreement with SDSS photos.
