this map is NOT!!! 90 north to 90 south

3600x1800 maps are available in TIF format at http://svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/details.cgi?aid=12021 My impression (which could be mistaken) is that they've just been stretched vertically, not had the poles filled in properly.

the map on that page is the same , and the second one used to find that the red spot is shrinking

they only added a black band at the top and bottom

Any statements whether these maps are in natural color or in enhanced extended color?? Looks to me like extended color?
